days have passed and not yet over it.

yay for the Ateneo Blue Eagles another wonderful and victorious UAAP season! it was well-deserved and you could see it by the way they play. they play just as fair and nothing less, nothing more.

The Blue Eagles owned the Game 1. From beginning 'till end. UE definitely had a hard time adjusting to Ateneo's well defense. Another factor was Jai Reyes' almost-perfect outside shots. He has 6 attempts and shot 5 of it. Giving UE a hard time to catch up. It wasn't only Jai who stepped up to the place, all of them did. They played great defense and great offense as well. In the end of Game 1, Ateneo Blue Eagles prevailed over the UE Red Warriors with a 7-point lead. (78-71)

Meanwhile, UE proved unstoppable and determined in Game 2. From beginning to end, UE thwarted Ateneo. Forcing the Blue Eagles to a Game 3. Ateneo struggled throughout the game with a lot of outside shots missed and a poorly-executed defense which led to their 20-point loss. Elmer Espiritu paved way for UE with 22 points and 4 rebounds. UE was well off compared to Ateneo with a score of 88-68.

Third Game was expected to be a massive war and indeed it was. The Blue Eagles not only proved their domination but also their determination to win a back-to-back title.

The Blue Eagles started and finished an excellent game. By the end of the first half, they already have a 15-point lead against UE. And in the second half, they proved unstoppable with sensational plays by center Rabeh Al-Hussaini and guard Jai Reyes as well as well-executed assists from Eric Salamat, Ryan Buenafe and Nonoy Baclao.

In the end, the Blue Eagles were successful in building up their dynasty as they won back-to-back for the first time since 1987 and 1988.

Another great year indeed for the Blue Eagles which are also celebrating their sesquiecentenial year this December 2009.

And of course I couldn't possibly forget the Ateneo Blue Eaglets who also won their back-to-back title.

Congrats, Blue Eagles and Eaglets!

the best goes to you.
